So Tomb Raider does not make me feel like “OH I NEED TO PROTECT LARA”, or whatever sexism people imagine is in Tomb Raider.
No, I feel fucking terrified and focused, like Lara does, because she’s in a terrifying situation. She has survival training but has never had to use it in a real world situation. A lot of the jumps start with her saying “OK, you can do this”, because if it were real life and you had to make that jump or you know, die, you would psyche yourself up too.
Lara does not seem scared because she’s a girl, she seems scared because she should be.
